Solstice Wood Fire Pizza & Bar – Best Overall

Solstice Wood Fire Pizza & Bar is a popular spot that offers wood-fired pizzas and seasonal dishes, alongside local wines and brews. Their food is fresh and delicious, and there’s often a wait for seating during the busy dinner rush.

Solstice is known for using local ingredients in unusual ways, such as pizza topped with morel mushrooms and nettle pesto. We tried this, and it was phenomenally tasty, as well as the most unique pizza I’ve ever had.

I had dinner at Solstice with three of our kids recently, and even though it was a weeknight, we had to wait 20 minutes for seating. It was well worth it though!

We ordered a variety of dishes, from small plates to drinks to dessert. My daughters tried the house made ginger ale and pineapple shrub, which were both delightful. The pineapple shrub had great fresh pineapple flavor with a little kick to it.

We also ordered the arancini, focaccia, garlic herb breadsticks, and asparagus small plates. The steaming hot arancini were the perfect texture, and the spicy sauce complemented the cheesy taste nicely. The focaccia and asparagus were also excellent.

Dessert was by far our favorite part of the meal! We each ordered something different, and had no leftovers.

The smoky caramel budino (pudding) is a local favorite that I tried and loved, and the key lime pie was unforgettable.
